Mnet 20s Choice Award
So I know this was totally last week but I finally got around to watching it and I just had to comment. I watched this show sorta last year in Korea and it was really bleh. Last year, I think I stopped watching because it was really long and boring. This year was an improvement.
So the highlights for me of the Mnet 20s Choice…
Lee Hyori – Mr. Big MV
The song is more mellow than her u-go-girl mv. I like it, but I don’t think I could play it on repeat. And certain parts of the song remind of u-go-girl. Typical Hyori MV that stars her in an alarmingly large number of different outfits, some cuter than others. She looks gorgeous as usual though.

Yayy~~ Finally after a 2 wk hiatus it is back!! I missed our 4 lovely couples. ^_^
So it starts off with another popularity poll, this one being “Who would you want to go on a summer vacation with?” 37,125 people voted. The Mcs ask Solbi who she thinks will win and she looks around and says of course Andy. Then they ask Alex which girl he thinks will win. He says Shin Ae will be first and everyone one else will be similar lol Then the mc’s ask SIY if that is insulting her pride and Crown J adds that there’s no woman there except SIY. LOL aww hahah

Hollywood Blockbusters
NOOOOO!!!! It’s official. Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince is officially set to release July 17th, 2009. So this is mostly a rant. AT THE STUPID GREEDY JERKS WHO WORK AT WB and decided to delay Harry Potter from Nov to July -0-;; WHY? Because they think they can make more money next July when the effects of the recent writer’s strike will be felt. It’s pure greed because the movie FINISHED filming and is ready to be released and everything but they just pushed it back. GAHHH!! I’m SOOO angryy~! I even rewatched all the Harry Potter movies this summer to get myself in the mood and freaking WB screws me over by seriously making me wait one WHOLE dang year -0-;;; ghrr And I think it’s also because they didn’t want to air the movie so close to Twilight but honestly all the people who were going to see it would have already seen it -0-
On the other hand, this week’s Entertainment Weekly has a 6 page spread about the new Harry Potter movie. Meaning: they didn’t get the memo. It’s pretty ironic considering WB owns EW lol Stupid executives >:O
But on the plus side, Twilight got pushed up and is set to be released on the weekend that Harry Potter 6 was supposed to be released so there will be something to look forward to that weekend. Yay for Summit Entertainment who decided to make use of the stupid gap that WB left wide open. I hope Twilight DOMINATES the box office so that WB REGRETS it! yes i’m bitter i know ^^;;
Other movies I’m looking forward to: High School Musical 3 (hehe I’m a nerdd but Zac Efron ^^) & Blood: the Last Vampire (err but I’m still skeptical that this will be released in October because there are no updates on this movie whatsoever)
I FINALLYY got Breaking Dawn (I know it took forever -0-) so hopefully I’ll finish reading it (although I couldn’t help but find an illegit copy online ^^;;) and review thenn I might recap I am Sam cuz I’m in LOVEEE with Big Bang & esp TOP =DD and more recaps on the way…after I finish writing my papers T_T

So somehow, I got suckered into watching an episode of this and then pulled into finishing it -0-;; Japanese dramas seem to be really fast and short compared to Korean ones, I mean despite the fact that it is obviously shorter (most Japanese ones being like 11 episodes compared to Korean 16-20 ones). I don’t really feel like doing a long detailed re-cap cuz I already have a school paper to write T_T but I kinda just need to vent out my feelings about the ending -0-
Olympic Medalists’ Celebrity Loves
So the Korean people seem to get majorly fired up over sports events (Olympics, World Cup, etc) and of course with this brings major interests with the athletes themselves. Being young, talented, famous, recently this spotlight on the Olympic medalists has been on who their ideal female/male type is.
First up, our very own Solbi from ‘We Got Married’ has a Olympic medalist fan. Sa Jae Hyuk, who won a gold medal for weight-lifting, the first one for Korea in 16 years, chose Solbi for the celebrity he wants to meet most. He professed that he watches ‘We Got Married’ frequently and liked Solbi’s truthful personality. In response Solbi admitted that because of her busy schedule she wasn’t able to watch him compete but she had seen the news that he had won the gold medal and congratulated him, and if the opportunity arises that she would like to have dinner with him. Solbi is actually 4 months older than him, being born Sept ‘84 while he was born Jan ‘85. Ooh La La I hope Andy doesn’t get too jealous lol
